Buckley’s Guide began in the mid-1990s as the brainchild of Bright local Lisa Buckley. While running Bright’s first bed and breakfast, Lisa saw a need for a more cohesive and convenient way to showcase local businesses to holiday guests.

Lisa created a compendium-style folder filled with black-and-white A4 photocopies featuring restaurants and activity providers in the area. From these humble beginnings, the Buckley’s Guide has grown into a full-colour publication of over 100 pages. For more than 20 years, it has proudly covered the Alpine Shire and, over the last decade, has expanded into Indigo Shire as well.

Today, local accommodation providers hold the Buckley’s Guide in high regard. It offers guests a high-quality resource right in their rooms – eliminating the need to collect, monitor, and display multiple brochures while delivering a streamlined and helpful guest experience.
