Benalla Festival 2026
The Benalla Festival is one of the major community celebrations in north‑east Victoria, returning in 2026 from Friday 31 October to Sunday 8 November across Benalla, VIC 3672. Set throughout the township and its surrounding rural communities, the festival brings together locals and visitors to celebrate the spirit, culture and lifestyle of Benalla Rural City. Events are hosted at various venues around town, including parks, community halls and the foreshore of Lake Benalla for larger gatherings and headline activities.
Across its nine‑day programme, the festival showcases a diverse range of activities suited to all ages and interests. Expect live music, outdoor markets, art exhibitions, food and wine experiences, family‑friendly entertainment and community performances highlighting local talent. A standout event within the festival is Benalla by the Lake, a free evening celebration on the foreshore featuring live acts, children’s entertainment and a fireworks finale that lights up the night sky.
The Benalla Festival also honours the region’s history and creativity, with exhibitions, workshops, parades and pop‑up events scattered throughout the programme.
