Experience the thrill, tradition and excitement of one of Victoria’s most iconic country events at the Myrtleford Golden Spurs Rodeo, returning on Boxing Day, 26 December 2026. Celebrating its 70th anniversary, this legendary rodeo is the second-longest running rodeo in Victoria, attracting top competitors from across Australia for an action-packed day of bull riding, bronc riding, barrel racing, team roping and family entertainment. Held in the spectacular natural amphitheatre of the Myrtleford Showgrounds, it’s an unforgettable experience for rodeo fans and first-time visitors alike.
With gates opening from 11:00 am and the main rodeo performance running from 4:00 pm, there’s plenty to enjoy throughout the day. Food stalls, children’s activities, merchandise, live atmosphere and big-screen replays ensure everyone gets close to the action. Best of all, the event is run entirely by volunteers, with proceeds supporting local community projects, making it a true celebration of country spirit and community pride.
