Pilates and Hiking Retreat

The Wildflower Pilates & Hiking Retreat is a three-night wellness escape held in mid-November at Wildflower Pilates, located in the alpine village of Tawonga South in Victoria’s High Country. Designed for anyone – whether you’re new to Pilates or a seasoned studio regular – the retreat combines daily mat and reformer Pilates classes with guided breathwork and mindful movement practices. These sessions are tailored to complement outdoor activities, supporting balance, strength, and inner calm.
A standout feature of the retreat is the guided hike up Mount Bogong, Victoria’s highest peak. The hike spans around 12–15 km round trip with 500–1,200 metres of elevation gain, offering breathtaking alpine scenery and a rewarding physical challenge. After a day on the trails, participants can recover in wood-fired saunas and ice plunges, unwind by the pool or nearby river, and enjoy locally sourced meals paired with regional wines – creating a perfect balance of activity and relaxation.
Accommodation is provided in standalone chalets at a tranquil countryside property, surrounded by wildflower-draped hillsides and crisp mountain air. The retreat package includes all meals, Pilates sessions, the guided hike, and access to recovery amenities. It’s designed to be welcoming and flexible – participants are encouraged to join in as much or as little as they wish, making space for both personal reflection and community connection.
In essence, the Wildflower retreat offers a holistic and immersive wellness experience – fusing intentional movement, nature, nourishment, and calm. Whether you’re looking to challenge yourself, unwind deeply, or reconnect with your body and the outdoors, this retreat is a beautiful way to reset in the heart of the High Country.
